Kraków, a southern Polish city near the border of the Czech Republic, is the 2nd largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River in the Lesser Poland region, the city dates back to the 7th century and was the capital of Poland from 1038 to 1569. Kraków has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life and is one of Poland’s most important economic hubs.

The city is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. Its old town – ringed by Planty Park and remnants of the city’s medieval walls – is centered on the stately, expansive Rynek Glówny (market square). This plaza is the site of the Cloth Hall, a Renaissance-era trading outpost, and St. Mary’s Basilica, a 14th-century Gothic church which can actually be rent our for dinners.

Kraków is a beautiful and historic city to visit, and a leading European city break location. It keeps being the jewel it’s always been – one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and one of the top destinations for meetings and incentives on our continent.
